Data Governance Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements:- Solid knowledge of data governance fundamentals, including data retention, classification, and security controls
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview
- Experience creating and maintaining clear, accurate documentation and reporting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Understanding of data protection and privacy legislation
- Experience designing and implementing data governance policies and processes
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Relevant certifications such as CIPM, CIPP/E, or equivalent data governance qualifications
- Play a pivotal role in our Cyber team and report directly into our Head of Cyber Security
- Protect corporate data and ensure data is correctly identified, classified, retained, and secured
- Oversee compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Work primarily with Microsoft Purview
- Collaborate closely with teams across our business to embed effective data governance practices
- Ensure data is managed securely and consistently

We are an established Northwest client offering a permanent Data Governance Analyst role based just outside Chester, with hybrid working and 2 days per week on site. The role comes with a competitive salary depending on experience and a range of industry-leading benefits. Our location is commutable from Liverpool, Wirral, Runcorn, Warrington, and North Wales.
