Data Governance Analyst

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of data governance fundamentals, including data retention, classification, and security controls
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview
• Experience creating and maintaining clear, accurate documentation and reporting
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Understanding of data protection and privacy legislation
• Experience designing and implementing data governance policies and processes
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Relevant certifications such as CIPM, CIPP/E, or equivalent data governance qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role in our Cyber team and report directly into our Head of Cyber Security
• Protect corporate data and ensure data is correctly identified, classified, retained, and secured
• Oversee compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Work primarily with Microsoft Purview
• Collaborate closely with teams across our business to embed effective data governance practices
• Ensure data is managed securely and consistently

We are an established Northwest client offering a permanent Data Governance Analyst role based just outside Chester, with hybrid working and 2 days per week on site.
