Application Support Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• 1 year of commercial experience in a cloud, infrastructure, or support role
• Strong foundation in Linux systems administration
• Exposure to production support or live service environments
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting using Linux tools
• A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capability
• Willingness to learn and develop within highly secure, non-standard cloud environments
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Act as first-line support for secure cloud users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a live production environment
• Manage and progress support tickets, ensuring clear diagnosis, resolution, or escalation
• Support high-priority incidents using established runbooks and operational procedures
• Develop deep technical knowledge of secure, air-gapped cloud platforms
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational toil and enhance system reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify bugs, failures, and optimisation opportunities
