Google AI FDE

Salary: £45,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need experience building and shipping production-grade AI-driven solutions to external or internal customers using Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• We need experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms such as GCP.
• We need experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch for customers.
• We need experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.
• We need experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-like architectures to power enterprise AI solutions.
• We need experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or ADK, and patterns such as ReAct, self-reflection, and hierarchical delegation.
• We need knowledge of LLM-native metrics such as tokens per second and cost per request, plus techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.

Responsibilities:

• We will serve as the lead developer embedded within customer accounts, moving complex AI applications from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows.
• We will architect and code the connective tissue between Googles AI products and customer infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data silos, and security perimeters.
• We will build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agentic systems meet requirements for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• We will identify repeatable field patterns and technical friction points in Googles AI stack and convert them into reusable modules or product feature requests.
• We will co-build with customer engineering teams to instil Google-grade development best practices and support long-term project success and adoption.
• We will drive engineering excellence by mentoring talent, collaborating with customer teams, and influencing cross-functional strategies to strengthen technical capabilities.
