Lead Functional Consultant (D365 CE & Power Platform)

Salary: £28,000 - 51,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CE and Power Platform products, including several of Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Field Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Power BI.
• We understand the AI features available within Microsoft Dynamics CE and Power Platform products and can explain their business benefits to users and their customers.
• We are familiar with related Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, and can configure integrations with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
• We have end-to-end implementation experience on multiple Dynamics 365 CE or Power Platform projects, ideally in larger and more complex environments, including requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, data migration, cutover, and reporting.
• We can influence solution design with a configuration-first approach and use customisation only where essential to reduce implementation and maintenance risks and costs.
• We can demonstrate out-of-the-box functionality to business and technical stakeholders and show how the product supports core business processes.
• We can design and build classic and Power Automate workflows to automate complex tasks.
• We have experience supporting pre-sales activities, including responding to ITTs, RFPs, and RFQs, and contributing to solution visioning and resourcing plans.
• We can work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior and challenging stakeholders, and have strong influencing and communication skills.
• We can gather, review, and prioritise requirements through interviews, shadowing, discovery workshops, and business process mapping.
• Additional desirable qualities include leading by example, remaining calm under pressure, supporting junior colleagues, and setting clear standards for professional delivery and behaviour.

Responsibilities:

• We bridge the gap between IT capability and business expectations on Microsoft Dynamics projects.
• We lead a team of functional consultants and collaborate with clients to design and build Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions, including AI features.
• We work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Dynamics 365 solutions.
• We play a key role in the design and delivery of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
• We identify opportunities to make the best use of platform features and balance the benefits and risks of customisation.
• We recommend the best approach to support client needs.
• We support and guide the team in discovery workshops, functional design, configuration, testing, data migration, training, and implementation.
• We lead larger teams of functional consultants on sizable and complex projects.
• We identify priorities, assign tasks, and make the best use of available resources and skill levels within the team.
• We build relationships with counterparts across the project, including within the client team, and help manage dependencies between disciplines.
• We manage and coach staff, focusing on performance management and career development.
• We support a culture of wellbeing and inclusion and help ensure team members manage workload and stress effectively.
