Senior PHP Developer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require proven experience as a Senior PHP Developer or similar role, with at least five years of software development experience in e-commerce or a similar business.
• We require extensive knowledge of PHP frameworks.
• We require proficiency in front-end development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks.
• We require a strong understanding of database systems, including MySQL.
• We require experience working with RESTful web services and APIs.
• We require knowledge of application development best practices, including unit testing, debugging techniques, and SDLC methodologies.
• We require familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, and build tools like TFS or Jenkins.
• We consider knowledge of microservices architecture principles and containerization technologies a plus.
• We require excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
• We require the ability to work within a team of other experienced developers.
• We require a bachelors degree.
• We require fluency in English.
• We require the right to work in the United Kingdom.
• We require the ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Coventry CV6 5SF before starting work.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the development of scalable and secure PHP-based web applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to design system architecture using MVC frameworks and microservices architecture.
• We develop and integrate APIs to enable seamless communication between front-end interfaces and back-end services.
• We optimize MySQL database design and queries to ensure high performance.
• We implement front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to deliver engaging user experiences.
• We write unit tests and conduct debugging activities to ensure code quality and reliability across all projects.
• We use version control systems such as Git for source code management.
• We contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements related to application development workflows.
