.NET Developer (AI Projects)

Salary: £33,000 - 60,000 per year

• Desirable experience includes familiarity with data engineering concepts, vector databases, or retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Desirable experience includes familiarity with responsible AI principles and data privacy considerations.
• Desirable experience includes experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated sectors.
• Desirable experience includes knowledge of additional Azure services such as Application Insights or App Configuration.
• Desirable experience includes understanding of DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks such as xUnit and Moq.

Responsibilities:

• We design and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C# and .NET.
• We build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate across the organisation.
• We work closely with business and product teams to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
• We support the integration of AI tools, components, and services into .NET applications.
• We help evaluate new technologies, including AI platforms and engineering tools.
• We participate in Communities of Practice and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
• We collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure data pipelines and infrastructure support .NET and AI workloads.
• We contribute to cultural initiatives that encourage engineering excellence, AI literacy, and innovation.
• We collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify automation opportunities.
• We support the introduction of AI capabilities into our business processes.
• We model good engineering practices and support junior colleagues.
• We help drive innovation within our Technology Engineering team in CIO.
