Senior Red Team Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience in infrastructure and web application security testing using established testing methodologies
- Demonstrable experience with open-source security testing tools, such as Kali and Parrot operating systems
- Understanding of software engineering principles
- Confidence producing comprehensive, accurate security testing reports for internal audiences and delivering briefings on outcomes when required
- Broad and detailed experience with technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, Active Directory, endpoint protection, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, networks, cloud, CDNs, and vulnerability management
- Applicants must meet at least the Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting; applicants typically need 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency, depending on the vetting level. Security and export control restrictions may affect eligibility based on factors including nationality, previously held nationalities, and place of birth.
- Support Red Team exercises, critical control testing, cyber hygiene assessments, and penetration testing
- Produce comprehensive, accurate reports for internal audiences, grade vulnerabilities in the context of BAE Systems, and pass findings to resolver groups for resolution
- Ensure remediation is carried out in line with documented processes
- Identify security weaknesses and misconfigurations and raise them with the appropriate resolver groups
- Contribute to the development of Red Team services across people, process, and technology
- Maintain a broad understanding of the external threat environment and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Continually test and validate security controls and SOC detection capabilities, providing assurance that defensive measures remain effective against evolving threats
- Support organisational and departmental objectives, maintain high security standards, and provide Cyber Operations leadership with assurance on the effectiveness of security monitoring and detection capabilities
