Junior Analyst

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• Genuine interest in private equity, venture capital and investing
• Strong aptitude for systems, technology and data, with an interest in understanding and improving how things work
• Careful with data, able to spot inconsistencies and investigate underlying issues
• Confidence with Excel and interest in developing skills in Python, SQL, Power BI or automation
• Interest in practical applications of AI in an investment business
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Curiosity, organisation and willingness to take responsibility early in a career
• A bachelors degree is required; the application asks whether candidates have a degree in Computer Science, Maths, Economics or Finance
• One year of systems analysis experience is required
• United Kingdom work authorisation is required
• Previous experience with CRM, reporting or data systems is helpful; we also welcome candidates who learn new technology quickly
• Reliable commuting to Manchester or plans to relocate before starting are preferred

• Take ownership of our core investment systems, including CRM and portfolio reporting platforms
• Improve data quality and produce reports and dashboards
• Automate repetitive processes
• Help colleagues make better use of available technology
• Work with AI, automation and emerging technology as we develop their use across investment and operational activities

We are a growing investment business, and this role works across our core systems and data with broad exposure to our investment, portfolio, finance and operations teams. The position is suited to a graduate or early-career professional interested in building a career in the investment industry while developing technical and analytical skills and commercial understanding. The role offers insight into how opportunities move through an investment pipeline and how relationships and investment and portfolio information are managed and reported. Pay is £30,000–£35,000 per year. The role is hybrid remote in Manchester, Greater Manchester.
