Infrastructure Support Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in software development or technical support
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID
• Experience with REST web services, XML, and JSON
• You must be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Dive deep to pinpoint the underlying causes of customer-related issues and provide support in escalations when necessary
• Apply Linux expertise to troubleshoot, innovate solutions, and resolve technical issues
• Manage ticket queues for our internal team and partner service teams to ensure service level agreements are met
• Lead efforts to improve operational efficiency by analysing root causes, trends, metrics, procedures, tools, and documentation
• Engage with internal service teams on company-wide initiatives such as patching, operating system migrations, and code updates
• Work with internal software development teams to enhance systems and services within the teams scope
• Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and take part in knowledge-sharing sessions
• Use allocated personal development time to learn new programming languages, improve software development skills, and build services
