Cybersecurity Security Operations Consulting Manager

Salary: £26,500 - 52,500 per year

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in consulting skills in external client-facing consultancy.
• Proven track record of selling consulting services, including account planning, client pitches, proposals, and value proposition development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation.
• Experience managing and leading teams, including developing and coaching junior members of staff.
• Hands-on technical leadership delivering SOC solutions on at least one major vendor stack, with cloud security operations depth across hybrid/multi-cloud integration patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver current-state assessments and define target-state capabilities, operating models, and controls frameworks.
• Conduct and review threat modelling of IT/OT or organisations.
• Advise on and manage Security Operations transformation projects covering log management, detection, operating model, governance and reporting, incident response, and automation and AI.
• Own SOC requirements definition and vendor evaluation, including RFI/RFP processes, scoring models, proof of value shaping, and tool selection recommendations.
• Manage senior stakeholders, facilitate decision workshops, and drive timely decisions through governance, options analysis, and explicit trade-offs.
• Own team performance and support delivery quality and commercial success through proposals, scoping and estimation, and account expansion.
• Contribute actively to business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and fostering client relationships.
