Cloud Platform Tech Lead

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• We require 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or providing technical leadership.
• We require strong experience designing, building, and operating AWS platforms in enterprise environments, with a strong understanding of cloud networking, connectivity, and identity management.
• We require experience supporting business-critical production platforms.
• We require AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications.
• We require the ability to travel up to 10% overnight within the territory or locations.
• We require a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Landing Zones is a plus.
• Previous experience with Platform Engineering and SRE operating models is a plus.
• Previous experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Previous experience with observability and monitoring platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• We are responsible for engineering, delivering, automating, and continually improving our enterprise cloud platform, with AWS as the primary cloud provider and Azure supporting specific business and technology requirements.
• We collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Product Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to deliver cloud platform capabilities, infrastructure automation, self-service services, and operational improvements.
• We deliver enhancements across networking, identity, connectivity, compute, storage, and container platforms.
• We implement governance, resilience, recoverability, and operational readiness requirements.
• We lead Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• We drive GitOps and automation-first practices while reducing manual processes.
• We ensure infrastructure provisioning is automated, repeatable, version-controlled, and secure.
• We build and maintain reusable modules, templates, and deployment pipelines.
• We establish engineering quality standards for infrastructure code.
