Product Data Scientist
Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - 83,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience in a similar data science or product analytics role, preferably in a high-growth tech environment
- Excellent SQL data interrogation skills and the ability to write, read, and iterate on Python scripts for data science analyses
- Good understanding of foundational data science concepts, such as statistics, clustering, and basic NLP workflows
- Strong analytical ability to turn operational problems into structured, data-informed solutions
- Clear, precise communication skills, including the ability to explain insights and analytical reasoning to non-technical stakeholders
- Build experiments and analysis frameworks to measure operational efficiency and the ROI of software releases and internal tooling updates across our Platforms and SMB domain
- Collaborate with Data Analytics Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure we collect and model the data needed for reliable business insights
- Apply statistical modeling and exploratory data analysis to identify bottlenecks and drop-off points in the merchant onboarding journey
- Share insights that help Product Managers prioritize onboarding automation initiatives
- Design and run proof-of-concept machine learning models and heuristic solutions to assess proposed onboarding automations before engineering implementation
- Work with product managers, designers, software engineers, and analytics engineers to use data to inform product strategy for our Activation, Risk, and Configuration products
