SC Cleared Performance Tester

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• SC clearance
• Ability to design, execute, and analyse performance, load, stress, and volume tests
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Splunk, and diagnostics platforms such as New Relic and Dynatrace
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and big data platforms such as Databricks
• Ability to analyse complex performance issues and provide actionable recommendations
• Strong scripting skills, such as Python or JavaScript, for test automation and data analysis
• Knowledge of performance test strategy and defining non-functional requirements
• Proven experience in performance testing cloud-based architectures, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Eggplant Performance, or Gatling
• Knowledge of middleware systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ
• Experience with the ELK stack and reporting tools such as Tableau
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with security and compliance considerations in performance testing
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities:

• Design and run performance, load, and stress tests, ensuring they meet strategy and non-functional requirements
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues
• Monitor systems using Grafana and Splunk, and use diagnostic tools such as New Relic and Dynatrace
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and drive improvements to support robust, scalable systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
• Shape and improve scalability and reliability by creating strategies and solutions for cloud and container-based environments
• Use observability tools and diagnostics to optimise application performance
