Trainee 1st Line Support Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £25,000 - 25,000 per year
Requirements:- We require CompTIA A+, Network+, BTEC Level 3 IT, T Level Digital, or an equivalent A level qualification.
- We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in IT and technology.
- We require excellent communication and customer service skills.
- We need a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- We require good problem-solving abilities.
- We need the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- We require a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Desirable: a basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Desirable: exposure to databases or SQL.
- Desirable: knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Desirable: previous experience in a customer-facing role, retail, hospitality, or office environment.
- We provide first-line support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- We assist users with basic IT issues such as password resets, login problems, and application errors.
- We troubleshoot technical issues and escalate more complex cases to senior engineers when required.
- We support customers with remote access and connectivity issues.
- We accurately log support tickets and maintain customer records within the helpdesk system.
- We assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
- We attend customer sites alongside senior engineers to support system implementations and installations.
- We learn and develop knowledge of networks, operating systems, and business applications.
- We provide general administrative support to the IT team when required.
