Associate Director, SAP S/4HANA Master Data Governance Solution Architect

Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require proven hands-on experience in SAP Data Migration and MDG pre-sales, implementation, and architecture.
• We require deep expertise in SAP MDG and data migration modules across S/4HANA data objects, specifically Material, Customer, Vendor, or Financials.
• We require a strong understanding of data modelling concepts, data governance principles, and best practices.
• We require proven proficiency in SAP integration techniques, including IDoc, SOA, RFC, APIs, and DRF.
• We require a strong functional understanding of master data and integration aspects across manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, finance, sales, asset management, and project management.
• We require demonstrated expertise in data migration strategies and methodologies, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• We require expertise in MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing configurations.
• We require a good understanding of Data Quality Management (DQM) principles and implementation strategies.
• We require the ability to analyse complex business requirements and propose fit-to-standard solutions.
• We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• We prefer understanding of AI data tools and how they may impact SAP MDG implementations.
• We prefer proficiency in data migration tools and techniques within the SAP landscape such as Syniti, SNP, SAP BODS, SAP Information Steward, and hyperscaler tools.
• We prefer SAP MDG, Syniti, SNP, Data Modelling and Analytics SAC certifications.
• We prefer Data Migration Cockpit experience.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the design and architecture of SAP S/4HANA MDG and data migration solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, industry best practices, and technical standards.
• We define data models, workflows, validation rules, and integration points to optimize master data management processes.
• We provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, including SAP MDG consultants, developers, and analysts.
• We establish technical strategies, standards, and best practices for SAP MDG implementations.
• We collaborate closely with global business stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements related to master data management, data governance, and data quality.
• We translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and architectural designs for SAP MDG and data migration solutions.
• We oversee and govern the configuration and customization of SAP MDG modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and design guidelines.
• We define and implement integration strategies between SAP MDG and other SAP and non-SAP systems, including ERP and BI, using technologies such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and web services.
• We develop comprehensive testing strategies and oversee quality assurance activities for SAP MDG and data migration implementations.
• We ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements through rigorous testing and validation.
• We facilitate change management processes to support smooth adoption of SAP MDG solutions, communicating changes, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders while managing resistance.
• We provide training and knowledge transfer to end users and IT teams on SAP MDG functionalities, best practices, and maintenance procedures.
• We document architectural designs, configurations, customizations, and integration specifications for SAP MDG solutions.
• We establish governance processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• We contribute to large-scale SAP MDG and data migration projects, including global template deployments across diverse industries and geographies.
