EHV/HV Substation Design Lead

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• We require a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• We require knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• We require experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities, including but not limited to data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• We require experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• We require experience in commissioning.
• We prefer a Professional Engineer License.
• We prefer experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• We prefer experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• We prefer experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Responsibilities:

• We design and manage high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple geographical regions.
• We develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software.
• We collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal electrical equipment.
• We create detailed construction documents and technical specifications that meet rigorous quality standards.
• We support the project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and system validation.
