Analytics Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Around 1 to 3 years of analytics engineering experience or experience in a similar role
• Strong SQL skills, including reading, writing, debugging and critically reviewing queries, including AI-generated ones
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Looker, AWS or GCP
• Experience with version control using Git
• Ideally some Python experience for data or analytics engineering tasks
• Strong problem-solving instincts and meticulous attention to detail
• Commercial curiosity and an interest in connecting data work to business outcomes
• An AI-first mindset, with curiosity, willingness to experiment quickly and ownership of learning fast

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs into clear, well-scoped requirements
• Build and maintain robust data models and exposures in dbt, Snowflake and Looker
• Review and debug SQL critically, including AI-generated code, and document decisions and trade-offs
• Extend trust infrastructure through tests, data contracts and observability
• Integrate data from third-party sources such as Amplitude, Segment and Google Ads
• Create secure, efficient data shares for external partners
• Enable self-service in BI tools so business users can answer their own questions
• Improve the data platform, tooling and ways of working, including how the team uses AI
