Voice & Network Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 47,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience supporting both voice and networking environments.
• Cisco CUCM
• Cisco UCCE
• Microsoft Teams Voice
• SIP Telephony
• Voice Networking
• LAN/WAN Technologies
• Experience using network monitoring and management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with wider technical teams.
• Cisco switching and routing experience.
• Firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto or Check Point.
• Cisco ISE, 802.1x or MAB authentication.
• Wireless networking experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting and maintaining voice and network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving network and telephony issues.
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading network and communications hardware and software.
• Managing system backups and supporting disaster recovery processes.
• Monitoring network performance and producing operational reports.
• Supporting LAN, WAN, SIP and unified communications environments.
• Working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal technology teams to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
• Participating in an on-call rota to support business-critical services.

We are working with a large, multi-site organisation seeking a Voice & Network Engineer to join an established infrastructure team in Gloucester on a hybrid basis. This is a varied role supporting both voice and network technologies across a complex environment, with a focus on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of critical communications and networking infrastructure.
