Test Analyst

Requirements:

• Active SC clearance
• ISTQB Foundation Certification
• Experience in both manual and automated software testing
• Strong functional and integration testing experience
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with Oracle or other relational databases
• Experience testing data warehouses, data marts, data migration or ETL solutions
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Knowledge of AWS environments
• Experience using Jira, Zephyr Scale or similar test management tools and Git
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute manual and automated test scripts
• Produce test approaches, test plans and test completion reports
• Perform functional system testing, integration testing and support end-to-end testing
• Create test scenarios and prepare test data from business and technical requirements
• Identify, record and track defects through to resolution
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams and external suppliers
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks and issues
• Support continuous improvements in testing processes and quality assurance

We are hiring a Test Analyst for a 6-month contract in Telford with a hybrid working pattern of two days per week onsite. This is an opportunity to join a large-scale government programme delivering critical public sector technology solutions within a collaborative Agile environment. The role offers varied work across multiple projects, with the chance to contribute to both manual and automated testing alongside experienced technical teams. The contract is inside IR35, with potential for extension, and active SC clearance is required.
