Software Developer C and Linux

Salary: £60,000 - 64,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing application code in C on Linux
• Working with Linux build systems, mainly Autotools
• LDAP / Active Directory integration, e.g. via OpenLDAPs libldap
• OpenID Connect / OAuth 2.0, e.g. via liboauth2
• Understanding of credential handling, token validation, and session management
• Awareness of identity-related security concerns, including trust boundaries, configuration errors, and credential leakage
• Experience with automated provisioning, e.g. Terraform or OpenTofu
• Familiarity with common cloud platforms and virtualisation environments, e.g. AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware
• Exposure to cloud-init or equivalent system initialisation frameworks and how they operate at a low level
• Understanding of secure configuration delivery and deployment auditability of newly provisioned systems
• Experience or familiarity with OpenAPI specifications to define service interfaces
• Experience implementing APIs in C or similarly low-level environments, without reliance on full-stack frameworks
• Experience designing for defensive input handling and error management

Responsibilities:
