Senior Network and Security Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of experience supporting Level 2 help desk tickets for network and security operations.
• We require 8+ years of experience installing and configuring Check Point firewalls, setting up VPNs, and performing routine upgrades.
• We require 8+ years of experience designing and supporting Layer 3 networks across multiple sites in multiple countries.
• We require 8+ years of experience managing network switches and other network devices.
• We require 8+ years of experience monitoring security devices and applications for performance issues and providing troubleshooting support.
• We require a solid Linux background and understanding.
• We require knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting.
• We require knowledge of fundamental networking design in a multi-site enterprise environment, including spine and leaf topology, site-to-site VPLS, multi-site SOHO VPN tunnels, OSPF, and BGP routing.
• We require a Bachelors degree or advanced degree.
• We require Cisco certification; CCNA is mandatory and CCNP is preferable.
• Check Point and Arista certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in the media and entertainment business is a plus.
• Existing IT support skills and experience commensurate with the role are required.

Responsibilities:

• We provide Level 2 and 3 technology support and administration for our IT Infrastructure Network and Security Operations Team.
• We support network and security technologies across multiple sites in multiple countries.
• We prioritize tasks and projects across multiple teams and technologies.
• We lead and manage projects, expectations, and scope effectively.
• We deliver superior customer service and support through phone, email, and in person.
• We ramp up quickly on new technologies, often without formal training.
• We work with post-production real-time media encoding and decoding technologies.
• We work with WAN-accelerated protocols and related solutions.
• We support hybrid cloud and on-premise network design and security.
• We act as the primary point of contact for Internet Service Providers regarding maintenance, troubleshooting, outages, and service upgrades.
• We handle multiple high-priority, time-sensitive deliverables in a dynamic, multi-vendor environment.
• We support multiple offices in the area and remote offices in other time zones and countries.
• We may travel as required.
• We may need to lift and rack equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
