Senior Developer - Python & Django

Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Python development
• Hands-on experience with Django
• Experience delivering scalable and secure software solutions
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and coding standards
• Experience with REST APIs and modern development practices
• Experience working in agile teams
• Strong testing, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• 5+ years commercial development experience, with 8+ years preferred
• SC Clearance required
• Desirable: experience delivering government or public sector digital services
• Desirable: experience working in secure or regulated environments
• Desirable: cloud-based application development experience
• Desirable: knowledge of accessibility and digital service standards

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join a high-profile government digital programme delivering secure, user-focused digital services. This is a 12-month contract with hybrid working, requiring approximately 40% office attendance (2 days per week). The role is inside IR35 and offers up to £650 per day via umbrella. Our office locations include London, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff. You will work within a modern engineering environment alongside developers, designers, business analysts and delivery professionals to build and enhance critical services that support complex business processes and deliver real value to users.
