Senior AI Engineer - Belfast

Salary: £28,000 - 51,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for production-grade AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models to production environments, with a good understanding of MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud-native AI tools such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML Studio.
• Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to build and manage scalable AI solutions.
• Skills in data engineering, including building data pipelines, data wrangling, and integrating AI solutions with enterprise data systems.
• Exposure to agile software development practices and experience working in agile teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate technical requirements into actionable solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Workday APIs, data structures, and integration patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing generative AI solutions using large language models such as OpenAI GPT or Hugging Face Transformers.
• Exposure to deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, and Transformers applied to real-world problems.
• Participation in knowledge-sharing activities such as conferences, workshops, or blogs.
• Determined, creative, honest, respectful, and cooperative, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

• Bridge the gap between data science and software engineering to productionize AI and machine learning solutions.
• Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to deliver robust, scalable AI solutions that enhance our Workday Products offerings.
• Integrate AI models into production systems.
• Optimize performance and maintain the reliability of AI-driven features.
• Contribute to the technical growth of the team.
