Job Description

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience supporting and developing SAP Business Warehouse (BW) solutions.
  • Experience with SAP ABAP development.
  • Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver.
  • Experience working with BW Dataflows (3.x and 7.x).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, database design, and data management.
  • Experience using SAP Business Explorer (BEx) tools, including Query Designer, Web Analyzer, and BEx Analyzer.
  • Experience delivering and supporting business-critical applications within a large enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with formal systems development and delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Desirable: Experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Desirable: Experience with SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood (formerly CPS Job Scheduler).
  • Desirable: Strong understanding of SAP BW architecture, including Dataflows (3.x & 7.x), InfoObjects, DataSources, DataStore Objects (DSOs), InfoCubes, and MultiProviders.
  • Desirable: Experience administering Process Chains and resolving data load failures.
  • Desirable: Strong knowledge of BEx Query Designer, BEx Analyzer, and Web Application Designer.
  • Desirable: Experience supporting end users with reporting, analytics, and data-related queries.
  • Desirable: Ability to investigate and resolve data anomalies and unexpected reporting results.
  • Desirable: Experience monitoring BW batch processing and service performance.
  • Desirable: Exposure to enterprise reporting, data integration, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Desirable: Experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver business insights and reporting solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Support, maintain, and enhance SAP BW data warehouse and reporting solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, document, and support enhancements to existing reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data warehouse performance, data quality, and system issues.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of BW environments and related applications.
  • Manage and support data integration and reporting requirements across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document reporting and data requirements.
  • Translate business needs into scalable and effective data warehouse solutions.
  • Conduct systems analysis, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support new application implementations and integration projects.
  • Deliver user support, training, and issue resolution throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Provide application and reporting support within agreed service levels.
  • Monitor Helpdesk and Change Management systems to manage incoming workload effectively.
  • Resolve incidents, service requests, and data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks.
  • Maintain technical documentation and user guides.
  • Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Maintain configuration and change management records.
  • Work with third-party suppliers and software vendors to implement enhancements and resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Support data governance and best-practice data management initiatives.
