Salary: £42,000 - 82,000 per year

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total)
  • Experience using Kubernetes to automate the deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications
  • Experience working in UK Public Sector
  • Experience dealing with highly secure solutions and networks
  • Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope multiple deliverables across a number of technologies
  • Demonstrated innovation and communication of new deliverables and offerings
  • Experience leading a team in the delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple technologies
  • Ability to develop solutions that enhance availability, performance, maintainability and agility of a customers enterprise
  • Experience contributing to the design and application of new tools
  • Ability to re-use existing experience to develop new solutions to take to market
  • Understanding of architectural dependencies of technologies in the customers IT environment
  • Ability to use product and application knowledge, along with architectural knowledge, to develop solutions
  • Recognized expert in one or more technologies within a technical community and at regional level
  • Vendor or industry certification in at least one discipline area
  • Ability to communicate with senior management confidently and professionally
  • Ability to work in a multi-technology environment and diagnose complex technical problems to root cause
  • Consulting and troubleshooting skills, with ability to summarise prognosis and impact at practice lead level
  • Ability to adapt consulting style to the situation and identify up-sell opportunities
  • Broad understanding of market dynamics, industry area, commercial issues and technical concerns
  • Ability to present technical information in customer sales presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in gathering requirements, designs, plans and estimates
  • Ability to produce complete proposals for smaller engagements within area of expertise
  • Broad knowledge in other technical areas to manage complex integration efforts
  • Ability to independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables
  • Ability to manage a team of consultants in solution requirements, architecture or implementation deliverables
  • Must hold National Security Clearance Level 04 Developed Vetting (DV) - UKIC
  • Eligible to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
  • Work onsite as part of a team supporting the detailed development and implementation of scalable clustered Big Data solutions, with a focus on automated dynamic scaling and self-healing systems
  • Verify and implement the detailed technical design solution to the problem as identified by the Project/Technical Manager
  • Provide detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions
  • Analyze and develop enterprise technology solutions as the Principal Consultant
  • Lead technical assessment and delivery of specific technical solutions to the customer
  • Provide a team structure conducive to high performance and manage the team lifecycle stages
  • Coordinate implementation of new installations, designs and migrations for technology solutions across networks, applications or platforms
  • Provide advanced technical consulting and advice on proposal efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions
  • Provide input to company strategy
  • Collect and determine data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements
  • Respond to requests for technical information from customers
  • Develop customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies
  • Solve technical problems across multiple technologies and develop new methods as needed
  • Own and manage knowledge sharing within a community and ensure team members support knowledge sharing and re-use
  • Proactively encourage membership and contributions to the professional community and coach others in area of expertise
  • Produce internally published material such as knowledge briefs and service delivery kit components and modules
  • Present at multi-customer technology conferences
  • Create and support sales activities, manage bids and provide input into the sales lifecycle
  • Produce complete proposals for smaller engagements within area of expertise
  • Grow the company portfolio with existing customers through new opportunities and change management
