Salary: £55,000 - 56,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a degree or equivalent in Computing, IT, or a related field.
  • We require fluency in English.
  • We require at least 3 years of operational experience with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
  • We require strong technical knowledge of IP networking, routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and associated protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • We provide day-to-day support for network services across all our sites, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • We manage incidents and changes through ServiceNow, with clear and timely updates.
  • We monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot complex issues across Cisco and Palo Alto environments.
  • We support site teams and helpdesk colleagues with connectivity and performance concerns.
  • We perform system backups, patching, and general network maintenance.
  • We maintain accurate asset inventories for network devices and components.
  • We respond to urgent or high-priority incidents and support business continuity and disaster-recovery activities.
  • We contribute to global and UK-level network improvement and security projects.
  • We install, configure, and maintain Cisco and Palo Alto equipment, including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • We help refine and implement global networking policies, ensuring alignment with UK operations.
  • We prepare clear technical documentation for IT teams and users.
  • We support technology reviews and future network design improvements.

We are hiring a Network Engineer for a hybrid role based at Par Moor Technology Centre, Cornwall, with UK and EMEA travel up to 30%. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, offering a salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience plus a performance-related bonus of up to 5%. You will join our Global Network Operations Centre, supporting and enhancing our UK and wider EMEA network infrastructure while contributing to global improvement projects.
