Lead Technical Architect Java AWS Agentic AI

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience architecting and leading the modernisation of Payments, FX or Core Banking platforms
• Experience designing software architecture for complex, large-scale distributed systems using modern cloud-native architecture
• Strong understanding of agentic AI development tools and how to implement them and drive change within the business
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, enterprise integration patterns, and AWS cloud architecture
• Good understanding of modern software development practices including TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, SecOps, and SRE
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Team Leads across the business to support technical architecture and design on large, complex, cloud-based distributed systems
• Ensure best practice and a cohesive architecture across the platform
• Modernise the existing tech stack built on Java and AWS using TDD and DevOps practices such as CI/CD
• Design and implement the architecture needed to support an agentic, AI-enabled Target Operating Model
• Develop autonomy layers, orchestration patterns, and human-in-the-loop principles
• Provide technical and domain expertise across the FX, Payments, and Core Banking platforms
• Drive the modernisation and re-architecture of core platforms
• Drive the adoption of Agentic AI development across the business
