Lead Service & UX Designer

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience across varied users, business problems, and devices.
• Service design as the core discipline, with UX skills and ability.
• Ability to lead projects with multiple designers.
• Experience coaching and growing more junior members of the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly understand complex domains and articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Curiosity and openness to emerging technologies, including AI.
• You are security clearable.

Responsibilities:

• We collaborate with our Tangity Leadership, Design team, NTT DATA Client Services and PMs, and consulting colleagues to shape proposals and engagements.
• We develop compelling, well-thought-out design solutions across the full process from research through sketching and wireframing.
• We lead projects with senior stakeholders, combining service design, user research, analytics, and product design.
• We shape project plans, client workshops, senior client engagement, research synthesis, service blueprints, data analysis, and KPI definitions for delivery-ready roadmaps and requirements.
• We ensure the work is grounded in a deep, contextual understanding of the people we are designing for.
• We bring a human-centred perspective to AI-enabled transformation, designing for AI and designing with AI.
• We manage design research relationships with partners and clients, and may work alongside our own research team.
• We manage all service design activities at project level.
• We evolve and innovate the Service Design practice by bringing in new learnings and creating new methods and ways of working.
• We give effective feedback and direction to more junior team members.
• We act as a Tangity/NTT DATA Design ambassador through studio and community events, workshops, and internal initiatives.
• We participate in professional industry groups, conferences, and publications.
