IT Technician Apprentice

Salary: £15,435 - 15,435 per year

Requirements:

• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Windows desktop PCs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Confident engaging with our internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent.
• ICT qualification at grade 4 or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Methodical and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
• Able to plan and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for staff and customers needing IT support.
• Troubleshoot issues and find practical solutions through our helpdesk service.
• Combine growing technical skills with excellent customer service.
• Support people so they feel assisted and their IT issues are resolved efficiently.
• Work alongside our experienced advanced-tier IT team to gain hands-on experience and build technical knowledge.
• Develop communication and problem-solving skills for a career in IT.

We are Yeovil College, and this is a fixed-term IT Technician Apprentice role for up to 18 months. This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week, all year round.
