IT Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 7 years of enterprise infrastructure and systems administration experience.
• We require strong enterprise infrastructure and technical leadership experience, ideally within banking, financial services, trading or treasury.
• We require experience managing Windows and Linux servers, VMware vSphere 8+, and enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE and Veeam Recovery Orchestrator.
• We require strong cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience knowledge, including endpoint security, encryption, DLP, SIEM, vulnerability management, security monitoring and patch management.
• We require advanced end-user computing support experience across Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, OS deployment, software packaging, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• We require experience supporting business-critical financial and enterprise applications in financial markets, treasury, payments or banking technology environments.
• We require strong networking experience with Cisco switches and routers, FortiGate firewalls, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing and connectivity troubleshooting.
• We require experience with SSL/TLS certificate management, including OpenSSL, CSRs, certificate chains and private keys.
• We require strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and senior management.
• We require a relevant degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, VCP, CCNA or Veeam VMCE would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We manage and continuously improve our enterprise infrastructure, systems, networks and end-user computing services.
• We ensure the availability, security, performance and resilience of our critical systems.
• We provide technical leadership and work closely with senior stakeholders.
• We support cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience initiatives across our environment.
• We provide advanced support for end-user computing, branch IT, meeting rooms, AV/conferencing and Microsoft 365.
• We support business-critical financial and enterprise applications, including Bloomberg FXT, Refinitiv Eikon, Murex Treasury, SWIFT Alliance Access, 1AML, SIBS, GFMS and COP.
• We support SFTP, replication and file synchronisation solutions.
• We manage networking environments, including switches, routers, firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.
• We contribute to IT governance, technical documentation, cybersecurity, GDPR, data privacy, business continuity and operational resilience.
• We identify opportunities for automation, optimisation and infrastructure modernisation.
• We support audits, regulatory requirements and FCA and PRA obligations.

We are an established financial services organisation offering a permanent Senior IT Infrastructure role based in London, Greater London, England, with a salary of 70k to 80k per year plus excellent benefits.
