Information Security Architect

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in the research, development and documentation of complex security solutions, including writing high-level designs across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Understanding and awareness of industry frameworks such as NIST, NCSC CAF, CIS and IEC 62443.
• Knowledge of the NIS-R Directive and PCI DSS would be advantageous.
• Ability to evaluate and propose solutions and technologies to enhance security posture while meeting business needs and culture.
• Knowledge of Operational Technology and IoT from regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience in security controls across identity and access management, device and infrastructure security, network security, application and workload security, integration, data security, visibility and analytics, and cloud security.
• Robust communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Ideally, an industry-recognised security certification such as CCSP, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementor, or a BCS certificate in Information Security Management.
• Additional product-related certifications such as Azure or AWS are desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Join our Information Security team as an Information Security Architect.
• Help develop our security strategy and create security design.
• Provide security architectural assurance and consultancy.
• Ensure technology investments deliver appropriate security controls that protect our business and customers.
• Solve and communicate complex security problems.
• Select and design security solutions to secure a hybrid architecture including information and operational technology, cloud and emerging technologies.
• Work within our team of 10 security architects and collaborate with teams delivering security operations, engineering, and risk and compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels and cooperate with specialists, including external suppliers.
• Support decisions that enable us to manage our data and information and operational systems securely.
• Work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry, with some support for working from home when needed.
