Graduate AI Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and AI fundamentals
• Understanding of software engineering best practices
• Strong understanding of AI ethics, responsible AI development, and principled approaches to building trustworthy AI systems
• Awareness of topics such as bias mitigation, model transparency, privacy, and fairness in AI applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Genuine passion for AI and emerging technologies
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, or computer vision projects
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker, APIs, or Git workflows
• Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
• Internship, university project, or personal portfolio related to AI/ML

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and optimisation of AI and machine learning models
• Work with large datasets for analysis, preprocessing, and model training
• Assist with the deployment and monitoring of AI applications
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and data specialists
• Contribute to backend development and API integrations
• Research and test new AI frameworks and technologies
• Ensure AI systems are developed responsibly, ethically, and with a strong focus on transparency and fairness
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
