Desktop Support Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3–5 years experience in desktop support within an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS support for desktop and laptop systems
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and business applications
• Experience with hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Experience with ticket management systems
• Experience with Active Directory, including user management and permissions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Desirable: experience supporting large-scale deployments or migrations
• Desirable: exposure to server moves or hardware rollouts
• Desirable: exposure to data centre or warehouse environments
• Desirable: MacOS support experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-user technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and upgrade desktop and laptop systems, operating systems, applications, and user profiles
• Perform hardware deployments and refreshes, including equipment setup and installation, imaging and configuration, data transfer and backup, and device decommissioning or redeployment
• Deliver remote and on-site technical support, including desk-side assistance
• Troubleshoot and maintain workstations, peripherals, and printers
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues
• Work with ticketing systems to manage and document support requests
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
