Cyber Security Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in cyber security, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- Background in roles such as Security Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, or SOC Analyst with strong technical depth.
- Strong understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and segmentation.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts.
- Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals.
- Exposure to security tooling such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
- Strong understanding of core security principles, including defence in depth, least privilege, and zero trust concepts.
- Understanding of designing and implementing secure systems to HMG security requirements.
- Experience managing complex technology estates with differing risk profiles.
- Information security-related certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or SSCP are desirable.
