Build Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a build engineer or in a similar role
• Experience supporting multi-platform deployment pipelines
• Proven ability to deliver work independently from start to completion
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with containerisation using Docker
• Solid understanding of source control systems
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively
• Flexibility to adapt to changing technical needs
• Working knowledge of Python and C# is a plus
• Experience contributing to artist tools, plugins, or asset pipelines is a plus
• Background in game development environments is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Manage, optimise, and develop distributed CI build systems
• Ensure build pipelines run smoothly and reliably across projects
• Communicate build issues clearly to teams using tools such as Slack integrations
• Oversee code compilation and deployment across multiple platforms
• Maintain and improve source control workflows
• Set up and manage build infrastructure, including hardware and networking
• Contribute to tools, plugins, and asset pipeline improvements for development teams
• Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to improve production workflows
