Application Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience supporting, developing, and maintaining IRESS Xplan solutions
• Hands-on experience with Xplan configuration, workflows, and platform enhancements
• Experience developing solutions using Xmerge, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience creating and improving IRESS Xplan reports and templates
• Exposure to reporting and data tools including Power BI, Alteryx, and/or Snowflake
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to issue resolution
• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working within an agile technology environment

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve our Xplan solutions
• Deliver configuration changes and enhance workflows
• Support reporting capabilities that improve functionality and user experience across the platform
• Work across the full lifecycle of IRESS Xplan changes, from understanding requirements and developing enhancements through to supporting deployments
• Resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
• Work closely with business analysts, application engineers, data teams, product teams, and wider stakeholders to deliver reliable Xplan solutions and ensure the platform continues to meet our needs

We are hiring an Application Support Engineer to join our collaborative technology team in Liverpool, supporting and enhancing our business-critical IRESS Xplan platform.
