AI Enterprise Architect, FS

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a hands-on technology leader or sole Enterprise Architect in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services or Insurance
• Strong and proven AI strategy and governance experience
• Good data and AI leadership experience
• Knowledge of modern engineering practices, including platform-first, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, security, resilience, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent and proven AI and enterprise architecture experience gained in a Financial Services environment

Responsibilities:

• Define our enterprise AI strategy, principles, and architecture
• Ensure AI adoption aligns with our internal policies, security standards, and risk appetite
• Provide architecture leadership across the company
• Act as an enabler by unblocking teams and driving measurable outcomes
• Own and maintain effective architecture governance
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies
• Define the technology roadmap, architecture standards, and approach to emerging technologies, especially AI
• Ensure our technology investments support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term strategy

We are an established financial services company offering a 6-month fixed-term contract for an AI Enterprise Architect. This is a home-based role with a pro-rata salary of £100,000 to £115,000 plus bonus and benefits. You will work across the business with no direct reports, helping shape the direction of our technology and delivering measurable business impact. We are looking for a technologist at heart who can bring strong AI and enterprise architecture expertise in a regulated environment.
