IT Support / Installation Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of business-to-business IT support experience.
• We require experience working in an MSP or IT support business.
• We require a broad fundamental knowledge of general IT systems and networking.
• We require experience installing equipment at client sites and providing high levels of customer engagement and customer service.
• We require the ability to explain IT in laymans terms.
• We require knowledge of PC, Mac, and laptop installation, diagnostics, and fault finding.
• We require knowledge of server maintenance, installation, and fault finding.
• We require knowledge of networking, including wireless, wired, mesh systems, routers, and firewalls.
• We require knowledge of backup solutions, including physical and SaaS.
• We require basic network cabling skills, including termination of RJ45, cabling, and patch rails.
• We require experience installing rack-mounted systems such as switches, routers, UPS, and firewalls.
• We require remote support experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS.
• We require an understanding of cyber security and related products.
• We require the use of hand tools.
• We require excellent customer communication and service skills.
• We require the ability to work alone or as part of a close-knit team.
• We require an outgoing personality.
• We require excellent time management and planning skills.
• We require a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities:

• We provide support to a diverse range of national businesses both remotely and on site.
• We install equipment at client sites.
• We deliver pre-technical support and installations for a wide variety of hardware and software.
• We stay away overnight periodically when required.

We are a small business-to-business IT support company that is expanding and looking for an IT Support / Installation Engineer to join our busy team.
