Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require significant experience operating as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
  • We require proven ability to facilitate workshops and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • We require experience coaching teams and leaders in Agile ways of working.
  • We prefer a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
  • We require an academic qualification in a STEM-related subject.
  • We require the ability and willingness to become a Chartered Engineer through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
  • We require applicants to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
  • Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, which may require 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency depending on the vetting level.
Responsibilities:
  • We play a key role in the agile delivery of Navy software solutions, ensuring alignment with the Product Owners vision.
  • We champion Scrum and DevSecOps best practices.
  • We work closely with software engineers and stakeholders to facilitate Agile delivery.
  • We remove obstacles to help the team deliver effectively.
  • We lead and coach teams.
  • We drive continuous improvement and a continuous learning and feedback process in relation to the DevSecOps approach.
  • We lead and facilitate the effective operation of the Scrum team.
  • We champion utilisation of the Agile/DevSecOps approach for the creation of new and modified code/test modules as part of a wider product solution.
  • We provide direct line management and coaching to team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile practices, fostering self-organisation and accountability.

We are BAE Systems, offering a Senior Scrum Master role based in Portsmouth (Broad Oak) or Frimley, Bristol (Filton), Dorchester, or New Malden with hybrid working, typically one day on site depending on business needs.
