Data Manager & Digital Developer
Job Description
Salary: £32,000 - 47,000 per year
Requirements:- We would like Welsh language ability, though this is desirable rather than essential.
- We will manage and develop the collection databases and data infrastructure that support our natural sciences digitisation programme.
- We will ensure specimen data reaches national and international biodiversity platforms, including GBIF and the National Biodiversity Network.
- We will work across collections, ICT and digital teams in a technically varied role at the intersection of collections management, data infrastructure and open science.

We are Amgueddfa Cymru, based at National Museum Cardiff, and this fixed-term, full-time role sits within our Digital category, Grade E, with a salary range of £35,257.19 to £40,170.21 for 35 hours per week. The role is part of the UKRI-funded DiSSCo-UK project, a £155 million, 10-year national programme to digitise and connect the UKs natural science collections. Our work is delivered in partnership with the Natural History Museum and more than 100 partners across the UK, and this post is connected to the first phase of the project at our Lead Hub for the DiSSCo UK | West consortium, covering Wales, South West England and Northern Ireland.
