AI Automation Tester

Requirements:

• Strong experience in automation testing / quality engineering
• Hands-on experience with Java and Cucumber
• Background in performance testing
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience working across enterprise-scale or digital transformation programmes
• Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
• Execute functional, regression, integration and performance testing
• Validate AI-driven features, workflows and automated decision-making processes
• Collaborate with developers, architects and product teams to embed quality throughout delivery
• Build automation solutions using Java and Cucumber
• Analyse test results and drive continuous quality improvements
• Manage defects, reporting and documentation using JIRA and Confluence
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
• Help ensure application performance, scalability and resilience across large-scale platforms

We are offering a 12-month initial contract with extension potential at a rate of £400-£600 per day inside IR35, starting ASAP. This is a remote-first opportunity with occasional travel to London. You will join a major digital transformation programme in an Agile environment, helping ensure a high-profile, citizen-facing mobile and web application performs reliably at national scale. This role focuses on strengthening confidence across both traditional and AI-driven features.
