Senior Conversation UX Designer

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require an available online portfolio.
• We require a bachelors or higher degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Linguistics, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
• We require 8+ years of experience in conversation design or VUI design.
• We require fluency in English, written and verbal.
• We prefer unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness of why it matters.
• We prefer experience designing for LLM-enabled customer experiences.
• We prefer strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
• We prefer strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• We develop high-level customer experience strategy for both the near and long term.
• We design conversational frameworks and conversational flows, partnering with UX Designers on accompanying GUI components.
• We work with Science and Editorial teams to help train the LLM to generate content that matches the intention of the designs.
• We present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, leaders, and partner organisations for review and feedback.
• We collaborate with other design team members on experiences, frameworks, processes, and best practices.
• We work with our UX research and data analysis teams to assess and optimise new and existing features.
• We navigate ambiguity, including shifts in direction and rapidly evolving customer expectations, and bring clarity to design decision-making through our work.
