Head of Cyber Security Sales

Salary: £100,000 - 140,000 per year

Requirements:

• A track record of building or scaling a cyber security practice, ideally in an MSP, reseller or channel business
• Genuinely commercial, comfortable owning numbers, pricing and margin, not just technology
• Credible in front of clients and able to teach people who are not technical
• An established network across UK cyber vendors and distributors
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are welcome, but attitude and results matter most
• Energy, drive and ambition, with a desire to build rather than maintain

Responsibilities:

• Own the strategy, commercial model, partner ecosystem and team for the cyber security practice
• Spend significant time in front of clients and alongside salespeople to drive growth
• Train and upskill the wider sales team to identify, qualify and open cyber conversations
• Act as the expert on client calls and in bids, translating technical risk into commercial language
• Work with marketing on propositions, collateral and campaigns that convert
• Define the service portfolio, target markets and three-year growth plan for the practice
• Keep the practice ahead of the threat landscape, regulation and market movement
• Select, negotiate and manage vendor and distributor relationships that underpin the stack
• Own build-versus-buy decisions on tooling and platforms
• Build pricing and packaging models that support recurring revenue and defensible margin
• Take responsibility for the practice P&L, deal profitability and forecast
• Design the delivery and support model, then recruit and develop the team behind it
• Set standards, processes and escalation paths as the client base scales

This is a full-time, permanent head of cyber security role based in Hertford with hybrid working and UK travel.
