Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture, with a significant focus on designing and implementing solutions on AWS.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex AWS projects across various domains such as data analytics, application modernisation, infrastructure, and security.
  • Experience working in a technical pre-sales capacity, producing bid documentation, RFIs, RFPs, and participating in technical bid presentations.
  • Ability to provide well-considered, clearly articulated, and pragmatic AWS-based solutions and recommendations to complex business and technology challenges.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload, meet project deadlines, and drive successful delivery outcomes across AWS-enabled programmes.
  • Ability to communicate complex AWS architecture, engineering, and migration topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Management experience across teams, workstreams, and deliverables within cloud strategy, migration, modernisation, and platform engineering engagements.
  • Experience assessing AWS services, partner products, and third-party capabilities for fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Ability to assess applications for technical suitability, migration approach, and modernisation opportunities on AWS.
  • Ability to identify and communicate practical AI and generative AI opportunities using AWS services, with consideration of business value, risk, governance, and operational readiness.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience in one or more AWS-focused areas such as AWS architecture and engineering, AI/ML services, generative AI design, data and AI platform architecture, containers, infrastructure as code, cloud automation, DevOps, Linux/Windows automation, application deployment, AWS security, landing zone design, migration, modernisation, or managed service enablement.
  • AWS Professional certifications are highly desirable; additional Speciality and Associate certifications are a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to undergo UK National Security Vetting processes.
  • Active or readily transferable security clearances are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS Cloud solutions across various industries and client environments.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with client objectives and our best practices.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to project teams, overseeing the successful delivery of AWS engagements from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, our engagement teams, and AWS representatives to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on AWS Cloud strategy and implementation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AWS capabilities, methodologies, and intellectual property.
  • Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AWS developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to keep our cloud innovation at the forefront.
  • Shape data-driven programmes that help clients transform their organisations using AWS technologies.
  • Define and deliver AWS cloud strategy, landing zone approaches, operating models, business cases, and delivery governance across AWS programmes.
  • Architect and deliver AWS platforms, workloads, and reusable engineering patterns in line with AWS Well-Architected principles.
  • Help clients design and deliver AI-enabled solutions on AWS using services such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker AI.
