Job Description

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics
  • 2+ years of experience in advanced analytics and statistical techniques
  • Extensive experience with SQL, dbt (ideally), and Python/R
  • Strong quantitative skills, ideally with a background in statistics, maths, physics, engineering, computing, or another scientific area
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business and engineering problems into analytical solutions while being sensitive to customer needs
  • Ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with PMs and Engineers
  • Ability to condense complex systems and ideas into simple-to-understand models
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take work beyond analysis and get things done
  • Hustler mentality and curiosity to discover novel insights from unstructured datasets
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau, and storytelling ability with data
  • Nice to have: Data Engineering or Data Science experience
  • Nice to have: Experience with unstructured and big datasets
  • Nice to have: Experience with user-facing products and data
  • Nice to have: Experience in the financial crime domain balancing risk and supporting customer experience
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other Analysts to turn insights into meaningful change for customers and support the mission
  • Expose large volumes of data in a meaningful and actionable way for product teams and support other teams in discovering insights in data solutions
  • Proactively contribute to, own, create, and track key metrics and results for the product team, keeping them accountable and enthusiastic throughout the quarter
  • Support senior and lead analysts by building pipelines, preparing reports, and creating visualisations
  • Partner with data scientists and engineers to create new features for financial crime prevention machine learning models and integrate external vendors
  • Help make risk assessment models faster and build the framework for managing risk and customer experience
  • Drive the discovery phase by scoping new opportunities and suggesting initiatives to reduce financial crime through meaningful insights
