Backend Software Engineer Python R&D

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require strong Python and backend software engineering experience.
• We require advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• We require an interest in learning and picking up new technologies.
• We require experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We value some experience with Rust, TypeScript, and/or C++.
• We require strong knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• We require a degree in a STEM discipline.

Responsibilities:

• We work on a new greenfield product to combat the threat of AI-based security attacks.
• We develop a range of complex and interesting projects, from rapid prototyping of new ideas to the structured development of existing platforms.
• We drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• We primarily work with backend Python, with exposure to Rust and emerging technologies.
• We use the right tool for the job in a rapid development environment.
• We collaborate as part of a highly talented, diverse R&D team in our Cambridge office twice a week.
• We take part in problem solving sessions.
