Requirements:

• Experienced Project Architect with the ability to lead the technical architecture and design phase of a major project
• Experience working closely with key stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into a robust, scalable, and secure target architecture
• Ability to provide technical leadership throughout the design process and produce high-quality architecture documentation
• Experience ensuring solutions are aligned with technical standards and project objectives
• Ability to define and finalise target architecture, system landscape, and integration approach
• Experience developing comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) documentation covering application architecture, infrastructure, security, networking, integrations, and data flows
• Ability to assess current-state architecture and identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and migration considerations
• Experience defining and incorporating non-functional requirements including availability, scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery
• Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and integration teams
• Experience reviewing and validating solution designs against established technical architecture guidelines
• Ability to provide architecture recommendations and effort estimates to support project planning and implementation
• Experience presenting HLD documentation to stakeholders, addressing feedback, and securing architecture sign-off
• Ability to support the transition from design into build and implementation

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical architecture and design workshops with stakeholders to validate and finalise requirements emerging from the discovery phase
• Define and finalise the target architecture, system landscape, and integration approach
• Develop and deliver comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) documentation
• Assess current-state architecture and identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and migration considerations
• Define and incorporate non-functional requirements including availability, scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and integration teams to ensure architecture decisions align with technical standards and best practice
• Review and validate solution designs against established technical architecture guidelines
• Provide technical leadership, architecture recommendations, and effort estimates to support project planning and implementation
• Present HLD documentation to stakeholders, address feedback, and secure architecture sign-off
• Support the transition from design into build and implementation, ensuring architecture requirements are clearly communicated to delivery teams

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect for a 6-month rolling contract in Huntington with a hybrid working arrangement. This role is inside IR35 at a rate of £600-£644 per day and requires BPSS clearance. We offer the opportunity to take ownership of the technical design phase, influence key architecture decisions, and work collaboratively across multiple technical and stakeholder groups.
