Senior Java Engineer – Payments
Job Description
Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements:- Extensive hands-on experience with Java 11, Spring Boot, and microservices-based architectures
- Strong experience working in AWS cloud environments
- Solid experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 20022 payments, including payment types and schemes
- 5-10 years as a Java engineer
- Hands-on experience implementing ICON IPF
- Proven experience working closely with major banking clients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Desirable: at least 18 months experience working on the ICON platform
- Desirable: IPF certification in addition to hands-on experience
- Support the delivery of large-scale payment systems
- Carry out hands-on development within modern, cloud-based architectures
