Senior Data Scientist

Salary: £47,000 - 86,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure ML, Git, and Azure Cloud Services.
• We require a proven track record of delivering machine learning projects from exploratory data analysis through deployment, post-deployment evaluation, and model refreshing.
• We require the ability to work accurately and independently with little supervision when needed.
• We require 3 to 6 years of experience in data science roles.
• Knowledge of the UK motor insurance market is desirable.
• Nearly or newly qualified actuary status is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you challenge the status quo in insurance pricing by developing innovative pricing solutions.
• You will own end-to-end delivery of pricing changes from concept to live deployment.
• You will seek out new data opportunities and work to extract value from them.
• You will develop best-in-class models to predict claims outcomes, fraud, and other risk KPIs.
• You will support the development of junior analysts within the team.
• You will work as part of our Pricing team within the Alternative Pricing Department, contributing to the evolution of our pricing approach.
• You will explore portfolio performance from multiple angles and propose changes to improve pricing.
• You will use a wide range of datasets to enhance our models and support iterative improvements.
